Nixon Grand Jury Testimony Released

As of 9am Pacific time this morning, the National Archives made President Nixon's Watergate-related grand jury testimony publicly available.  Here are the links to the testimony locations: Government Printing Office; ScribdNational Archives Wiki Site. The Nixon testimony and "associated materials" was released pursuant to an order by Judge Royce Lamberth -- Chief  Judge of the US District Court for the District of Columbia.  After receiving a petition requesting that the records be released, Lamberth ruled that their historical significance merited their release despite the universal prohibition on the release of grand jury records.  For more on AG Eric Holder's effort to amend this universal prohibition, see our prior entry here.
